Belgrade, 1 July 2017
The round table held at the Centre for Cultural Decontamination in Belgrade had the following participants: Milovan Pisarri and Nikola Radic on behalf of the Center for Holocaust Research and Education, Filip Skiljan from the Institute for Migration and Ethnic Studies (Zagreb) and Aneta Lalic on behalf of the Serbian National Council (Zagreb). After the presentation of the project’s results, the panellists focused on mapping locations in Croatia and Serbia. They spoke about the methodology, the current condition of these locations, about meetings with witnesses, historians and representatives of local authorities. In her presentation, Aneta Lalic focused on the importance of these locations in commemorations and education, but also about the problems the victims’ communities face daily in an attempt to oppose a rising revisionism and denial in the region.
